I think you have a few really decent shots amongst this lot (and the following).
Some nice abstract framing of things.
Thanks! Just trying to get a little better each time I go shoot and hopefully learn from my mistakes. If you're up for it do you have any c&c? Seeing how other people view my stuff has been very helpful.

Well, I have hardly an abstract shot under my belt so c&c is probably not something I would be too helpful with. I just look at the shots you've taken and a few have appealed to me. You could try posting in the Photo Critique section.
But my general observation is that your Exposure is spot on, images are all sharp and colours are nicely balanced, indicating you have your setting all under wraps. The lighting of your images really captures the dark moody feeling of your surrounds as well. I think the only potential faults I could pick is that 1 or 2 of the images are from a pretty neutral view point, (IMGP2264 is one) as I found the Utilities box? a little mundane, with no interesting shadows like all the others you posted. But the rest have taken the mundane subjects and injected some life with interesting shadows and lines. But as I said take my C&C with a grain of salt

The 17-50/2.8 was on my K-5 most of the time I was in Yellowstone. The image quality did not disappoint me, while the convenience of a zoom let me capture more images than I could have with primes.

These shots make me really want a 17-50. And they make me want to visit Yellowstone. Someday for both.

In the meantime, here's one with the 28-75 at 43mm, f/2.8.

We are new to Pentax forums, but we love Tamron lenses. Here is one of sunset at Preston Docks, 19/10/2013, Pentax K-30, Tamron adaptall2 SP 90mm [52B] (135mm - 35mm equivalent), 1/200 s, f5, +0.7, light purple grad filter, no processing except for size reduction for upload. (EXIF shows 85mm but K-30 does not have 90mm option).

We hope it meets the standards required.

(The 52B is our favourite lens)

Wow, that's some color!

I shot this tonight on a bike ride with the K-5 & 28-75. The trail I was on overlooks this golf course.

I went through my images and realized that the 17-50 Tamron is my most used lens. Wasn't even aware of that....

Striking image. If and when I can afford a new lens this is one I am still strongly considering to fill the wide angle zoom gap in my collection.

Sure, but it's a little bit more expensive, right?
