I have many lenses at my disposal, but I almost always, without fail, find myself with my Tamron 28-200mm AF-A (IF) Macro attached to my camera. I can find NO fault with it. It's tack sharp, the contrast and saturation is great, the bokeh is wonderful when shot with an open aperture, it's lightweight and covers virtually every situation I find myself in. Seldom do I need anything wider than 28mm or need more reach than 200mm.
Yesterday, I went to a little park on the Snake River and I took a slew of lenses, but found myself not needing to change from the old faithful Tamron. I've got a 62mm polarizing filter for it on order then I plan to make a return visit to the park for more photography. It's a very interesting place with some amazing bronze sculptures and various other items worthy of the visit.
