What's not to like!

I have many lenses at my disposal, but I almost always, without fail, find myself with my Tamron 28-200mm AF-A (IF) Macro attached to my camera. I can find NO fault with it. It's tack sharp, the contrast and saturation is great, the bokeh is wonderful when shot with an open aperture, it's lightweight and covers virtually every situation I find myself in. Seldom do I need anything wider than 28mm or need more reach than 200mm.

Yesterday, I went to a little park on the Snake River and I took a slew of lenses, but found myself not needing to change from the old faithful Tamron. I've got a 62mm polarizing filter for it on order then I plan to make a return visit to the park for more photography. It's a very interesting place with some amazing bronze sculptures and various other items worthy of the visit.

My first post on here

Hi, this is my first post on this Tamron thread. I usually post in the Adaptall thread and many others. I recently found that I have a misbehaving PK adapter. I have been searching for a PK adapter which no one seems to have available. Plenty of more expensive PKA but I would like to get one or two more PK Adaptall-2 adapters so that all my Tamron Adaptall lenses can have one installed as well as my 140F and 01F. Can anyone on here help. I would be willing to trade or straight purchase.

The Vulcan is a MASSIVE aircraft! Nice shots. I especially like the first one. The Tamron is one heck of a lens, eh Stephen? I love my 28-200mm. My absolute favorite of all I own!

Good examples of the capabilities of that lens.

It is the front-runner as the sharpest lens I own, with a Vivitar 80-200mm Macro Zoom and a SMC Pentax f:1.4, 50mm close behind. But none offer the versatility, contrast and saturation as my Tamron. NONE!

Tamron 28-200mm Macro-Zoom. Every time I use this lens, I fall in love all over again! I have no idea what the little alien light balls are! I think if I would have stopped the lens down more, I might have discovered some star shapes.

Tamron 28-300mm macro Zoom. Opinions? Comments?

I currently have a Tamron 28-200mm Macro that is the lens I use more than any other.... and I absolutely love it! But, I'd like to have the little extra bit of "reach" that the 28-300mm affords so I'm contemplating this version. My question: Do any of you have this lens and what can you tell me about it. I've read the reviews, but thought I'd ask for opinions here on the Tammy forum. It seems as if it goes a little soft at the 300mm range. Have you experienced this? I notice that there are two versions, a silver model and a all black one. What is the difference between the two, if any?

Thanks for any information you may offer.
