Torbay Airshow

The 1st Torbay Airshow started yesterday, the first airshow I've ever been to. I got out the longest lens I have, a Tamron 70-300 and went on a very steep learning curve. I've got about 1600 shots to go through so I may be some time. Here's the first five.

Nice, Matt. The Tammy 28-75 and 17-35 are my two lenses that ALMOST tempt me to go to the K1.

Now if I was just back in CO with that sort of backdrop . . .

Thanks! Is the 17-35 FF? That could be pretty nice on a K-1 if so.

And yes I'm spoiled with the scenery here!

Very nice Matt, I have often thought about this lens. Now with the K-1 it seems like it would be a great choice. It is about the same FOV as the 16-50 on my K3. My 16-50 is one of my most used lenses. I need to invest in some more FF glass before I can consider a K-1.

Yep. No doubt there'll be some eye-watering FF lenses to come in the future but I suspect there's some surprises as folks re-discover the Tamron SP AF line as an economical entry into the K1 world. The SP AF 17-35, 24-135, 28-75, 70-200 all have possibilities as a economical and pragmatic upgrade path. And the Adaptall SP line is also designed for FF (with no AF issues! ).
