Broken?

I think my Tamron 17-50 is broken?

K3II, iso100, 1/200 s, 22mm, f/2.8

Right side of the image is much sharper than the left side or even center. I bet something is wrong, looks like some kind of T/S lens... I think that I once banged it against something and tammy did not like that.

Well.. Maybe this is the final point to look forward for FF and compatible lenses?

Just looks back focussed to me. The building in the back is in focus, and the trees to the left in the foreground are out of focus, just a normal condition.

No, the foreground vegetation is much sharper on the right than it is in the centre, that rules out back/front focusing as the cause, however the different distances to the subjects on the left and right make this photo far from ideal for assessing the lens.

perhaps more samples of photos would help diagnose if there really is an issue?

I haven't shot mutch since I knocked it but here is one (click for fullsized version):

K3-II, iso200, 1/60 s, 42mm, f/7.1

Not the best sample for now but in this one the extreme right edge seems bad. I'll take more samples some day...

Ok, here is a quick one.

Tamron 17-50 @ 36 mm, f/3.5

Focused right in the middle of the image (little rock). For me it seems like top left & bottom right corners are sharper than bottom left & top right corners. So something (a lens?) is messed up.

Yeah that does look like something funky is going on there... I would get it serviced if I could. I have heard people here say Tamron service is pretty good.

Something inside has definitely shifted out of alignment.

K-7 + 28-75 + a little magic = ?

I like how the K-7 handles to this day. By comparison, the K-5 Silver is tank-like. Just my opinion, as it is more capable than I.

Pretty darn good for handheld. Unfortunately as I age, I'm not as steady handed as I would like to be so I use a monopod more than I want to.

Tom, so far I'm very fortunate to have steady hands while photographing, it helps get a lot of shots I'd miss with a tripod/monopod. But we must use everything we can, so that we can continue to enjoy our great hobby, so keep that monopod ready to use!
