It sure is good to see you, especially outside of the Takumar Club--LOL. These are some nice shots with the 17-50 2.8. I love this lens, and now will have to post some shots with it.

I own a lot of lenses, but the 17-50 is my most used. I love the speed and focal range of the lens.

I have very little use for zooms or auto-focus lenses in my daily shooting, hence all the posting in the Takumar thread. They really are all I use 99% of the time.

I didn't even want the 17-50, but based on last year's experience trying to shoot in the dressing room I knew I needed something wider than my 28-75 (also bought specifically for dance and otherwise seldom used), and something better than my crappy Cosina 19-35/3.5-4.5....and God knows the kit 18-55 wasn't going to cut it. So I hunted around for a lens and it came down to the 17-50 or a similar lens from Sigma. I couldn't find sample photos online from the Sigma that I liked.

Despite having bought it against my own wishes, though, I do like its performance and think it is a fine product.

I have A gang of Super Taks..Perhaps it is time to get a proper adapter for my DSLR's since I use mostly short primes and use manual focus as well.

You really should, Javier. The adapter is very inexpensive and the lenses are a lot of fun.

I have a bunch of Auto and Super taks myself--perhaps I'll start shooting more with them. Here is another from the Tammy 90mm. f5

Glad to hear you like the lens. I agree primes offer better image quality, but the difference, for me, is mostly at larger prints. The Tammy 17-50 exceeds my expectations--I use it for hiking, where a one lens setup is a big advantage for me. Here are a few with it.

Haven't been on here in a while, so many 'clubs' have popped up!
I get to join this one, since I have an XR Di 28-200 3.8/5.6 lens.
You don't have to be a pro to get great results, for example:

Well I seldom post to this thread but I shot a few waterpolo shots with the Tammy 70-300... The first on I absolutely love!
