The 1.4 TC is the Adaptall 2 specific one, going to have to try the lens less the TC at wide aperture and see what I get.
Skipen, lovely results and I'm more impressed with the fact that the pic is a crop,.

Skipen: Taken with a Tammy 28-75mm f/2.8 and cropped a little. Even when cropping it's much sharper than when using my Sigma 70-300mm. I was looking at the DA* 200mm, but I'm swaying towards the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 after seeing samples here
Skipen, that is a cool shot--love the perspective--feel as though I'm in a plane, window seat of course, looking out at the birds.

Ooooh ... welcome to the club over beautifully sharp, lovely contrasty images.
You'll love it as a portraiture lens as well as a great Macro lens.

I keep using this lens more and more ... even indoors with bounce flash as well. Money well spent IMHO

An Amur leopard, 1 out of the estimated 30 left in the world (It may be down to 25 now). There are only 5 or 6 females of this species left. Being one of the most and if not rarest felines, the Minnesota Zoo has two of them locked within these fences. They are listed as critically endangered and will most likely become extinct in the next couple years.

Pentax K-7 & Tamron 70-200 2.8. ISO 200, 1/500s, f/2.8, 200mm.

Beautiful beast--beautiful capture--thanks. It is disappointing to learn how seriously endangered this species actually is. Wikipedia says this: "The International Union for the Conservation of Nature has deemed the Amur leopard critically endangered, meaning that it is considered to be facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild."

Yes, the population of these leopards are falling and they estimate that there are only 6 females left, it's going to become extinct soon. It's really sad. Was taken with my Tamron 70-200 2.8 btw, forgot to add that.

Sad indeed. But there is nothing sad about the performance of this lens wide open: Sharpness, colors and contrast all excellent!

Fantastic shots by all! I think the 70-300 Di LD is quite underrated as it is an incredible lens, the only knock I have on it is it's slightly slow. But when used properly it's great!
