Buschmaster: Fantastic shots by all! I think the 70-300 Di LD is quite underrated as it is an incredible lens, the only knock I have on it is it's slightly slow. But when used properly it's great!
Yes, I agree. It has to be, dollar for dollar, the best buy out there. I just put mine up for sale a couple of days ago and it sold within an hour--I am still getting PMs for it--waiting list if the deal falls through. That says a lot if you ask me.

I sold mine as well. It really is a great lens for the money. I don't regret selling mine, because I know the gal that bought it here is using it where as with me it was sitting along with a bunch of other lenses doing nothing.

Will be testing out something new/old soon.

Just won a bid on an old Tamron 400mm f/6.3 ... apparently screw mount ... will find out when i comes i guess. Got it for bugger all really ... no one was watching it.

Will be interesting to see what the results are like with it ... will be my longest lens now. Speed won't bother me really ... I'll be taking my time with this lens anyway.

Will report back when i get it and test it.

I haven't found much info on it though ... it's not even in the the Pentax third party database either.

It arrived ... a Tamron Popular 400mm f/6.3 preset lens
Definitely M42 screwmount as i tested it on my spare M42/K adaptor and it mounted perfectly.
now to clean a little dust of it (bugger all) and see how it goes.

Have a quick look down the barrel so to speak .... damn clean in side ... aperture works nicely ... and this version has 13 blades.
