well that lens seems to account for about 90% of my shots since I got it, for some strange reason Here's one I posted to Flickr just now

Well, Black Friday and Rondec's portraits in this thread worked their magic .... and the new lens is here. Looking forward to posting my first captures in this lens club.

Thank you, Rondec. And here is the first two from me.

It's an awesome lens. The only negative I found is flare. The first image here (sun out of frame) had very significant flare. I have carried out a very basic Lightroom only removal/minimisation job here!

I will have to be careful, other shots with the sun in frame were less affected. And I really don't recall leaving the hood off or reversed - not least because the zoom is inoperable with the hood reversed.

John

This lens seems to work for everything.

That's no Moon! Err, never mind.

Permission to dock /w reflections.

Birdie a la luminance noise.

Those were from today. Here's some portraiture from a few weeks back:

Got some great CC from the Seattle Open Shoots group. Cloned out those distracting people in the background.

It even works for events...

lauren

And selfies, of course.

With 95% cloud cover, we decided to stay at home and try some flash portraiture instead of shooting the super moon. 🌙

The HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION

I've made a quick review here :
HD Pentax-D FA* 70-200mm F2.8 ED DC AW Reviews - D FA Zoom Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

This lens is truly fantastic, after 2 weeks I can see a strong potential for my type of shooting, ie mainly concerts and portraits.

Some pictures I did in order to test this lens in my studio :

Bokeh @ f/3.5
