I think I've cracked the lens hood on the mount area, right next to the polariser window. What a bummer! I might not have put it on properly before storing, or maybe it was cracked when I got it (second hand) or maybe it cracked when the lens bumped against the floor today (very light bump). Whatever it was, it's not a nice feeling!

I've glued the little spot together with Gorilla Glue so I think I'm good to go.

Wonderful lens but really on the heavy side when traveling.

This is a X-Post with the 'Sports Photography-Single Image' thread.

If I recall correctly this was my first opportunity to take the 70-200 out and use it properly on the K-1 and alongside the D-FA 150-450. The longer lens was more flexible in this type of work of course but the 70-200 was, from memory faster to focus, and was definitely a real joy to use.
