Both awesome. What great shots who have both captured. I was just looking at some photos here and I gotta say I think the 15-30 is worth every gram and every penny. So sharp, contrasty, and such colours!

John
Thanks, I agree for this shot but I do go lighter if I'm going far under my own power.

Looks other-worldly, Mike. Very nicely done.

I had my big tripod with me and could not get close enough, so I hand held this.. and at 1/13 arms outstretched there is a smidgen of motion blur.. drag. i'll have to try again with my smaller tripod or a bean bag.

I lost my big lens cap for this fine lens while hiking a few weeks ago. I was pretty bummed and bracing myself to see what Pentax would charge. I found the item at B&H but it was "unavailable" so I decided to take a chance on the inexpensive Tamron lens cap for their version of the lens. It was in stock and pretty cheap so I got one. I'm happy to say it fits perfectly!

A bit old this one, a real sign I need to get back out with the K-1. I just posted this to Flickr as I was watching another storm roll across Brisbane.

Any love for VW Kombi's around here? Especially ones that serve coffee?
