Despite its size and weight, I chose to take my DFA15-30 with me on a recent trip to England and Ireland. It did not disappoint.

One problem I picked up on early that it does not seem to play nicely with the K-1's SR at certain shutter speeds. I generally use it with SR off now, even hand held (as most of these shots are). Flare resistance is pretty good considering the amount of glass, but I reckon a better designed hood would improve it further.

Nice serie! I'd like to see at which focal length you shot each picture.

So I figured it was about time that we had a lens club for the HD Pentax - DFA 1:2.8 15-30mm ED SDM WR. Post your pics here!

Can't wait to see what everyone will manage to come up with using this lens.

To kick us off, here are some golden & blue hour shots from Salford Quays in Manchester, UK. All single exposures, K-1, LR processing, except for the third, which used a three-shot LR HDR process.

Salford Quays in Manchester, UK a place that makes you want to take photos . Last year I had the opportunity to take pictures with my Sony RX1 .

Screening QS29 II | Mike Parry | Flickr

Had to PS the granny out of this to get the best from it. I'm going to agree with MikeSF regards this lens. Having used it some more, conclusion is that it's not that epic, especially considering the even more epic price. Save your money and go with the Samyang 2.8/14.
