For quite a while using my K3-II, the 18-135mm was indispensable. Then I bought a 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8, and my lens of choice was the former. I do however like to swap it occasionally for my Sigma 10-20mm which is great for landscape, car shots and much more.

However, I've now decided that I 'need' a 15-30mm and I fear it'll make both the 10-20mm and 24-70mm redundant!

I'd better start saving!

The bigger problem is that I am afraid you are on a path that will lead someday to a K-1.

Yes, your image is similar, although very different parts of the world, but similar climate. And your image has the advantage of a CPL filter, which I couldn't use on the DFA 15-30 as it's much more complicated to use such a filter on that lens.

Another Trillium Falls image with the DFA 15-30:

A trio of x-posts from the K-1 thread from me, 15-30 on the shoreline in Skye. Always interesting how moving just half a step can give a very different view in wide angle.
