ogl: Dont know where you got your DA35, but if has poor resolution. Send it back and get a new one, cause my copy eats every other lens alive when it comes to sharpness and pixelpeeping for details. Or maby you just dont like that its a DA, get over it and move on sir.

This one didnt come out so sharp due to odd angle. But I love it

This time of year (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) macros start coming out
in force. Last summer this lens was all over also.

Thats a good point... it would also then mean its a good all year round lens in the tropics.

I am not into macros myself... but appreciate very much the skill and art that so many display here.

cropability - DA 35 2.8 ltd is a "zoom"?

Just a boring resolution demo with kid snapshots, nothing artful:

They are not the same

Buy both!

I had a hard time choosing between DA35 and DA40. I got DA40 and I am very happy with it. However, I am still going to buy the FA 31, mostly because it's fantastic from F2.0 to F4.0 (I borrowed it for a month).

If I had purchased the DA35 instead of the DA40 I would still get the FA31. When doing urban photography and full body shots at F1.8 to F4 I preferred the FA31. When shooting landscape, industrial, architecture and misc. (at F5.6 to F11) I always used the DA40.

Kind regards
.lars
