lemme tell ya, Allen...

I did not think that I cared much for the 35mm focal length, which is one of the reasons I sold off my DA 35/2.4... then I fell for the K35/3.5 (which is a must-have lens) and noted that there was a nice, subtle difference in the FL between 28mm and 35mm...

this copy of the HD DA 35 Limited came up at a simply-buy-it price and I have to say that it is a hugely versatile and accurate lens that looks badass on your camera...

glad I'm being useful then...

from what I've read, the difference between the SMC and HD are minimal: coatings have been tweaked, aperture blades are now curved, and red highlights in place of green....

so better flare resistance, better bokeh (but starbursts are not as sharp), etc...

that is what I read in the reviews as well

and of course, since the SMC is now available on the " experienced " lens exchanges only, it may be cheaper

This is a pic of my recently-deceased superdog, Joe. He was then basking in some sunshine on our back patio. He was a wonderful dog - loving, caring, and supportive in every way. I miss him greatly - he had cancer, and we finally had to put him to sleep about a month and a half ago. It was gut-wrenching.

K-3, 35mm Macro Ltd, f/2.8, 1/8000, ISO 320. This fine lens did a great job again.
