I have had this lens for a couple of months now and have had some outings with it... and I have to say I am still learning it. My keeper rate is pretty slow - not because the lens isn't good. It's great. But I must have gotten lazy by the 50mm range where framing just comes naturally to me, and by wider angle lenses. It's hard going back to " normal". My compositions are suffering - they're either not flattering to the subject, or they're allowing for things that shouldn't be in the frame, or I'm picking the wrong lines or centering things too much... argh this is hard. But I like hard, it's challenging

A couple of not so great shots, but better than the other few hundred I've taken with the lens... I'll get there I guess!

Ok so having a lens that renders very nicely and is sharp on both close macro and landscapes, and anything in between, might make this lens the best walkaround lens ever...

From the same day, riding my bicycle around the park with the family, with K-S1 and DA 35 Limited in my cargo pants pocket:

Nice image, lovely B&W conversion. Can I ask how you did it?

Thanks. After optimizing the image in Lightroom (i.e., dodging and burning), the black-and-white conversion was done with Silver Effex Pro.
