wow, the A Club is really looking good these days.
Here's another with my 70-210/f4. It's the only A lens I brought with me. I really miss my 28/2.8 and am lusting for 20 & 24/2.8, 35/2 & 50/1.4. I'll also go for 135, 200 and/or 300mm if I can find them for a good price.

The view at morning break:

cheers

Newly adopted A28/2.8

So I "accidentally" won an A28/2.8 this past Saturday morning for a whopping $41. Seller's description noted brassing and dust in the lens so I didn't have too high hopes. But it arrived this morning and I took it out with the K20 for a few tests and I gotta say I'm darn happy with the "investment"...

This is my first "wide" prime so I'm looking forward to expanding my viewpoint.

Another portrait with my new A50 f2. It is certainly capable of taking a nice head shoulder shot. I used philosophy of another poster on here about portraits "sharpen older skin and soften younger skin" it seems to be a good idea. Taken at f2 with window light and PP using free Powder Room II script from CoffeeShop Free PS/PSE Actions!: Photoshop and Photoshop Elements Actions (no affiliation).

Yes, I'm glad I brought it with me, but I do miss the 35-105.

One more from Taiwan...

We have that in common!

It's not just superb optically, it's one of those lenses that will challenge and teach you. I finally got a (3rd party) hood for mine yesterday. Here's a shot I took today of apple blossoms & rental trucks, cropped from 14.5 to 6MP.

A 70-210/f4

Bumpin the A Club with a volcano picture!

We're off the coast of Papau New Guinea and sailed past this volcano, Tolokiwa Island, this afternoon. Unfortunately, we couldn't get much closer and it was a very hazy day.
We did have a quick swim even though Tiger Sharks are very common here

cheers

Nice shot, Steven. I am really loving the 70-210/4 both on my film bodies and the K20D.

I'm probably getting an A 35-105mm F/3.5, I'm really excited, because I reviews, and apparently it's really sharp. And I love the focal range it covers.

Should I be excited?

It is, and since it is underated you can get it very cheap! I am always surprised when I use it how sharp it is, even at 210mm.

There was an Elizabethan day at my local castle on Monday, here's some shots with the A70-210 at 210mm and f6.7.
