Nice set of shots - that lens would be a great companion for my A35-70...

I think it would. And it's supposed to be an even better companion to the A 35-105. The only reason I haven't gotten the 35-105 yet is because it's not inexpensive like the A 70-210! To me the A 70-210 is a no-brainer like the M 50 1.7... too cheap for it's great IQ. But it is a bit heavy...

Great kitteh pic btw

More A 35-105 goodness from a local fair.
The weight of this thing is not to be underestimated: carrying it around all day is a pain in the...neck, literally.

That's digital... I did use some film emulations in Corel Aftershot Pro. Except the BW I think which was just a black and white conversion... I'll look at my other computer tomorrow and correct any misinformation...

Edit: OK, I stated the opposite of what I actually did The B&W conversion was done via a film simulation.
The first two images are just adjusted for levels (AutoLevel) and clarity (Perfecty Clear) - those are the first two settings in Corel Aftershot Pro and sometimes when they work well I don't even touch the image any further Some other default settings like a bit of sharpening are also applied. But no film simulations or anything - the SMC-A 70-210, I find, has a lot of that "film look" in itself. Its contrast and color are very pleasing to the eye, in my opinion. And just one stop down at 5.6 it's as sharp as my A 135 2.8 prime at 5.6 (and more contrasty, though maybe a bit less microcontrast).
