The 200/2.5 is actually a K lens, I erred in posting it in the A club thread. It is, however, a great lens. The 1st shot of the silo and feed elevator was taken wide open, cropped with minimum pp of the jpg. It's a recent purchase so I'm still getting to know it.

Never been over here....I have a couple of A lenses. This afternoon I mounted the 135 3.5 A lens.....been years since I have used it.

Heavy crop....Not the sharpest lens but it's not all that bad either.

I have an A 50 Macro too...need to give it a try on my K5IIs. Until I get it repaired I can only shoot MF so it is a good time for a test.

Regards!

Rupert, that A 50 Macro is a cracking lens - so sharp. I love mine. This was on the MZ-10 with Superia 400, If I remember correctly (and a suitably non-macro shot, sorry - only one I could find lying around on this computer)

I think his jar fell down the disposal, and he used the salad tongs and string to make a fishing pole. The little watermelon slice was the bait.

Crabbing out in Sooke here on Vancouver Island....

It was stormy off in the distance towards the open ocean, sunny where we were for the whole afternoon.
"Burning day" in Sooke as you can see from the smoke in the background, and a warm day on the water...

When you're 7 years old...hanging out and having fun is just so natural......

Crabs....these guys are way too small to keep. We caught at least 30 but kept only one....it was large enough for a large appetizer.
3 of the same would have been pleny for the 4 of us as a meal.

As onlineflyer said, it is actually a K lens. It is pretty good though, and seems fine wide open. It can, however, have some quite complex aberrations which are hard to fix. Shouldn't be a problem with astro though, I would have thought.

I used the lens for my "Single in" challenge in Feb. The images are here.

K.
