The kit lens seemed to give me better results. But your pictures show that it is good for other types of pictures too.

I just go and use it, often as the only lens I use. Because it isn't the same contrast and saturation technicolor beast most other Pentax lenses are, a bit of post processing for both goes a long way, and brings out its natural resolution - it does resolve, and quite a bit too!
I don't know what Pentax did differently with the A, it should be the same formula s the M. But maybe they did something with coatings etc.
