You guys with the 35-105's are killing me.... I haven't seen one dud shot and am seriously confused as to why this lens is not some sort of legend. I WILL be grabbing one ASAP!

It probably is, I haven't heard about any real variation with this particular lens...
That was a jpeg crop from the k20d, though, with my favorite settings. Keep
shooting with it, remember to bracket focus!

Here are a few more:

f/.7

f/2
That last shot is a painting mate... ..I'm inspired.

IMO A 35-105/3.5 is A legendary lens. Even in my hands it can be good.

Thanks for the reply repaap. I have a A50/1.4, A50/1.7 and a Rikenon XR 50/1.7 (and a Sigma 50/1.4). After seeing how sharp these 'A' lenses are I'm wondering why I got into so much debt for the 'new' lenses. I've gone a bit crazy buying lenses of late and I really wish I'd visited this thread 1st and saved a mint.

Well.. I've spent most of the day going through this thread and I'd like to thank everyone for their brilliant work. It's been like a great book that you just can't put down.

Cheers.

It is a legend in my book. By all means get one (if you can find someone silly enough to sell) and join the cult.

I especially like the first one. Congratulations on getting that monster in focus on a moving target. Impressive!

I have yet to see one of those lenses for sale.
