Nice series, great shot this last one too. Seems to be a stellar lens, and in good hand even better.

Thank you! My biggest wish at the moment is to own the holy trinity. Not the FA Limited series, but the:

- A50/1.2 (check)
- A* 85/1.4
- A* 135/1.8

I've used the latter two and they are really stellar.

I like that last one best of all. I was also impressed by the apparent dof in that landscape with the house--hyper-focal technique?

You have a good copy, Peter. Mine is not near as good (but becomes ridiculously sharp since 2.8).

Oops, I should have mentioned the last shot of the manor was not shot wide open. I would never do that type of shot wide open

And here I was thinking you were a sorcerer instead of just really, really good.

It's getting more difficult to find and certainly more expensive to buy, but it's all worth it once you have them.

They are all working everyday lenses for me and I'd be totally lost without them.

Several legendary lenses making appearances in this thread recently. Nice.

Here are a few from one of the less legendary but still awesome A lenses. A50/1.7 I have started going to this outdoor venue at the Pier 2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. They bring in indie Taiwan groups every weekend and I've really enjoyed the music so far. The Pier 2 Art Center is a rehabbed set of old shipping warehouses near Kaohsiung Harbor with several different art exhibits going on. One of the warehouses burned 10 years ago. The walls are still perfect (covered in ivy) but the roof collapsed and was completely removed. This band was Sugar Plum Ferry 甜梅號. They didn't have any vocals but they jammed for 2 hours. Pretty good overall.
