or quick, high pitched "knee deep, knee deep"
nice pic BTW
Thanks, Bill! It's neither but one of a long line of toads which have inhabited the front yard since time immemorial: as far as I know they don't vocalize at all.

Be an interesting shot, toads around here make little noise, something like a "peep"
not for females but to ward off a rival.Normally have to see 2 males in competition to hear.

Very serene looking shot up there UV.

One of our toads here. Will be "digging" in shortly for winter.Vocalization is a faint "peep" with 2 or more males in congregation.
With A70-210/4 + green filter & LX + AF200s flash on 100 legacy B/W film.Pushed to EI 800.crop of about 60% of frame
Developed with 50% D-76 and 50% semi-expired E-6 first developer(not C41 stated in another post & pic)

A couple of new shots from the A50/1.7

Kaohsiung, Taiwan

It's strange but I think I can count on one hand how many pedestrian accessible bridges there are over roads in Kaohsiung (pop 1+M).

A 100/2.8

I bought this a couple of months ago but got distracted by some more glamorous additions to my collection. I gave it a try on the cats today and I'm really impressed.

[1/125s, f3.5, ISO 5000 (K-5, of course)]
