When I bought my A400/5.6 last year I had the eclipse in mind. With less clouds it would have been perfect! (cross posted from astrophotography group)

1/250 s iso 200 f/5.6

My "best" corona shot (0.8s iso 200 f/5.6):

A 0.4 s exposure showing the prominences a bit better

Of course the clouds moved out after totality:

That bird freaks me out! But well matched with the dead tree and a grey background of hellish despair

This morning's sky was as spectacular as can be! 3 planets and the Moon. And all within the frame of my A50/1.4.

K50 + SMC-A 50mm f/2 @ f/8

I've been taking care of this moth orchid ever since I gave it to my mother on Mother's Day 2015. Sun, water & 1½ year later it bloomed again : )

Halloween advance notice, smc-a 50mm f2, K5.
Tree stump removal, snapped a few pics when I checked to see how it was doing before turning in. I preferred this one without flash, I used my flashlight to give a bit of fill light. K5 was on a bean bag on the wheelbarrow.

Today was my first outing with the Pentax-A 70-210/4 and although I wish I might have longer glass for shooting this flock of American White Pelican, I was very pleased with this lens. Next time, though, I will have to remember to dial in a little negative exposure compensation. Those birds are VERY white!

Take Flight
