Many thanks. In truth I could have shot what I did that day with a faster non-macro 50mm and gotten smoother bokeh but well...

I got my self A24/2.8. Gotta put it thru the test in July Single In Challenge. Wide open looks acceptable:

Just got my A50/1.2 serviced by Gus at TLC Camera Repair

It had slow aperture blades, but Gus knocked it out of the park fixing it. His attention to detail was impressive. I'd highly recommend him for lens repair.

Here's one taken with the A200/2.8* the only A-lens I own at the moment. I include that proviso because the combination of manual focus and aperture control on the camera is simply lovely.

That seems like a nice lens, I find the bokeh a bit distracting, but that's entirely personal.

Yep, bokeh is not the smoothest in most conditions though the first shot below shows that it can be better if the situation is right.
