Good morning everyone.

Yesterday I received my copy of my Irix f2.4 the firefly version.

I have done a lot of test to prove everything, and I have noticed that the lens is de-centered.

Here decentrado 2.4-Esquina superior | Jose Galvan | Flickr , in my Flickr you have a couple of photos where you can see the left corner is clearly out of focus compared to the righ even at f.8

What do you think guys?
I have already sent the images to the store telling my problem.

I'd say it's fairly obvious. The right hand corner, OTOH, is very sharp even at f/2.4.

I'm also interested to see how the upcoming Laowa 12mm f2.8 compares to the Irix.

My copy (blackstone) arrived also

It was beautifully packaged in a metal container!
I must say that lens flare was much better, than I expected (from reviews). I am posting 1 photo againts the sun, this afternoon.
Also a photo from the K mount, witch shows the camera contacts and the aperture actuator.
Note, that the actuator is fully unprotected, unless most Pentax lenses! We have to be very careful; with this. Fortunately, the lens comes with 2 back-caps.

Very nice Ranchy... the corner to corner sharpness seems very good!

Hi everyone, I´m writting to you today to talk about the Irix 15mm for Pentax.

I don´t know if you have read about my problem with my copy of the Irix (firefly version), which is de-centered (I have already opened a RMA in the store), there is a lack of sharpness in the left side of the lens, as you can see here in the files attached (upper and lower corner, left vs right)

Well, the other day I knew a k3 user doing some photos and he was using an Irix 15mm firefly, so I told him about the lack of sharpness in the left side, he said me that he didn´t notice anything in his photos so I showed him my test and told me that he will make the test at home other day to prove it.

Yesterday he sent me an email telling that his Irix is de-centered, exactly like mine. So, I would like those who have the Irix to do that little test to prove if you have that problem (you only have to print a template, and make a shot as perpendicular as possible), and to prove that it is, or, it is not an error in the assembly line, like it happened with canon lenses.

I would like you to upload your photos to see it, because here, in the spanish Pentax forum, I only know 3 irix user, and two of them with the same proble (me and the other guy)

Best Regards
Jose

Your lens seems a bad copy and they should change it.
did you calibrate the infinity focus?
