Hello,
Where do you see it in Europe? Even though I'm in the USA, I'll buy it anyway. Thank you very much.

K1 + IRIX 15/2.4 Blackstone. 18 sec exposure @ f16 with screw-in IRIX 10 stop ND filter to catch some cloud motion. Minor crops all sides; some distortion correction; conversion to B&W using NIK Silver Efex Pro.

In your first image, the Blackstone is on the left and the Firefly on the right, just to be sure we’re talking about the same thing.

However, the second image shows what is probably the Nikon F-mount version, where the focus ring rotation is the opposite hand to that of the Pentax version.

Thank you for the information. It is strange that there is such a difference.

Did anybody try to do Focus Scale Calibration on Irix 15? This is one of interesting feature of this lens, but can not find any info if anybody really didi this.
I am doing this based on manual, but if i moving with internal calibration ring, i can see no change in focus on live view, doing at F2.8. It seems like this ring is doing nothing. It does not matter at what position of this ring i will re-tighten screw on internal focus ring.

Info from manual:
To calibrate the focus ring:
1.
Remove the calibration window cover by unscrewing the T6
Torx screw and sliding the cover outward.
2.
Set the focusing ring at the infinity position and rotate the
focus lock ring to the locked position. The internal calibration
ring and flat head locking screw should be visible.
3.
Using a flat head screwdriver, loosen the screw on the cali
-
bration ring. Be careful not to allow the screws to fall into the
lens housing. A screwdriver with a magnetic tip is recommen
-
ded.
4.
Using your camera’s Live View and LCD zoom, rotate the cali
-
bration ring to focus carefully on a distant subject (farther away
than 50m/164ft).
5.
Lock the calibration ring by re-tightening the screw and re
-
place the calibration window cover

This arctic winter scene has been captured with the Pentax K-1, using two different lenses at 2 minutes interval (Note: Both were at ƒ/11 and ISO 100, only the shutter speed is different).

One lens was the 43mm limited, and can be considered as a "real-life size view", and the other is the Irix 15mm Blackstone, a wide-angle lens.
The photo taken with the 15mm has been heavily cropped to match approximately the other photo (slight) cropping, but the final resolution is significantly affected, e.g. the 43mm has seven times more pixels than the one taken with the wide-angle lens.
Also note the different "starburst" effect, that is dependent of the number and the roundness of aperture blades.

I really do appreciate all the "beta-testing" folks have done on these lenses. I noticed when I started looking around for ultra-wides that the reviews on the web had samples that were somewhat vignetted, but that the vignetting was greater in one corner or on one side than the others, usually in the upper left. That kind of worried me, but I bit the bullet and got the 11mm Blackstone. Turns out I got the good one, apparently. No issues at all, that I can see. Here's a couple of unedited, jpeg-from-camera test shots:
