Once when I unknowlngly attempted a double posting, a got a popup notice from Pentax Forum disallowing it, and suggesting a cross reference, which I did not attempt out of ignorance of proper technique. Perhaps one of the moderators could explain the process.

I sometimes forget to remove an image from the ready-to-post folder, attempt to repost, and get the popup so I just post something else - if available - and delete both from the folder. But, sometimes I go back to LR and tune up a secondary image, a second or third or tenth taken the same time of the same subject as an image already posted maybe 12~18 months earlier, and of course PF doesn't recognize that as a repost, So I may have posted an image almost identical to the boat last year, or even in 2014, but I cannot remember and neither does PF. But if I cannot remember, who will?

If you hit the submit button twice in rapid succession the system will catch the second post and a dialog will pop up, then a redirect to the original post happens. In my experience this only takes place when the submission button is accidentally clicked twice.

At the top of each thread, and every page of that thread in the menu bar is a search drop down. One of the search options is "Find My Posts".




This is the tool I use to remember what I have posted and what I haven't.


Still, I sometimes make double contributions to discussions.
