With my lack of planning and experience for making starscapes, I forgot to take one separate picture of the foreground without the Astrotracer enabled, hence the visible blur, but helped not getting star trails in this near 2-minute exposure. The foreground was "light-painted" with my flashlight.

Circular Fish-eye Flair.

This is actually from the first few tests of the Samigon FE on a film camera. It was designed to be on a the normal lens of a film camera to make circular fish-eye images. Until now, I've only used it on digital bodies, getting either rectangular images or ones with only circle arcs at the corners or ends. I should be stopped down about a half-stop more, according to the lens instructions, but was going with what the light required. The flare-starburst outside of the image circle was a complete surprise, though I was aware of the sun being right at the fringe of what I was framing.

Same Samyang fish-eye and Pany GX8 as I used in the photo just above. Looking straight up from inside a gully or canyon.

Excellent composition! I really like how you managed to use the wide end of the 17-28mm to create a very natural sense of scale, avoiding the extreme perspective distortion of rectangular projections for such wide angles, while still keeping the bent lines under control.

Thanks. That's the way to try to get the most out of fisheye lenses --- try to conceal the distortion embedded in the lens as much as possible. Another image of the same bridge:
