Really great images. Actually, I did not know this lens existed, but pleased you helped me to discover it. Hope you will continue posting images from it.

I have a challenger for the F 17-28 on full frame (or the stellar DA 10-17 on APS-C):

Introducing the Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX.
A similar field of view to the DA lens at 10mm, this lens has not failed to impress me with its sharpness, clarity and colour contrast. One of the only Sigma lenses I have had the privilege to shoot with that I really like.

Well I wish the 17-28 could focus that close

Minimum focusing distance of 10cm. Really close. So close, the lens often casts a shadow over the subject.

I added a no 1 extension tube to the 17-28 to get a little close, here is the result

Not bad. Good workaround for close focusing effect. Itís certainly the fun part of fish eye photography.

If I had added the no 2 or 3 I would have needed to burrow into the front element to get focus
I will be on the lookout for one of those Sigmas to try after seeing your shots, that picnic point shot has the water tower looking like a madagascan tree, very nice

It's a fine lens, if you can find it.
Here's another perspective with it:

I was standing very close to the base of this 150m flagstaff, the FOV is phenomenal.

Those look to be rectilinear images. They would best go here: Wide Angle K-Mount Club - PentaxForums.com or Pentax Irix lens club - Show us your photos... - PentaxForums.com

Fisheye with DA 1.4 Teleconverter F 17-28

I added the DA 1.4 teleconverter to the fisheye and it seems to work well on full frame, why??? well unless you try something different life can be boring
K1 DA 1.4 converter F 17-28 Fisheye. I also have to 10-17 DA fisheye and K 17 Fisheye which I will play with , hopefully over the coming weekend. I Guess it may need moving to the wide angle club, however since the main lens was a fisheye I thought I could put it up here

and without the teleconverter
