Thanks for this, for this shot space and locations were limited, but I'm sure some kind of diffusing reflector would have been much better.

...and lacking that, a Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce is a good and very inexpensive substitute.

It occurred to me that it has been some time since I last posted here, despite my having done some fish-eye shooting. Working backward from recent to not-so-recent, here are a few late arrivals...

Postcard!
Palouse Falls in Eastern Washington (USA) is impressive, particularly given its desert setting. The area around the falls is quite hazardous, however, due to risk of falls and falling rock such that several people have died there in the last few months. To be honest, I felt uncomfortably close to the edge taking this photo.

Pentax K-3, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye

Morning Glow
The famous Mesa Arch at Canyonlands National Park near Moab, Utah. The fisheye's circular projection really works well with this subject and yes, it really does glow on the underside; note that keeping the camera level resulted in the horizon appearing as a flat line.

Threee great pictures. Palouse Falls is definitely not a place to let dogs or kids run free.

Until I can find the Self-portrait Silhouette Against Clouds and Trees Reflections on Cars Fish-eye Pictures thematic thread, I guess I'll post this one here.

The ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet are far enough along that I know how to get the results I want, but my intention was to use a large mirror behind me and the white ceiling to get my flash to more evenly light up this confined space within the FOV of a fisheye lens and I don't know if there is any way to do that with a single flash. Any advice on using flash with a fisheye?
You could improvise a diffuser or a reflector. A white plastic salad bowl could be used to diffuse the light from the flash, or a stainless steel mixing bowl might work as a reflector.

My Bower-labeled version of the same lens has a non-removable hood. Otherwise, I'd love to see it do that sort of thing.
