A fish eye pointed straight up into the trees of a woodland or forest. Most of who have a fish-eye take such an image sooner or later. I have several such images including this SCAN almost certainly taken with a 16mm Pentax fish-eye on my LX. The rotating high eye-relief viewfinder was especially good for taking a straight-up image.

Link test to Mt. Pinos

Mostly, this is a post to test including a link. In this case to an old shot on Mt. Pinos is SoCal using a Raynox x.24 fisheye adapter.

So, is the image visible, or just the link?

Darn, looks like it only shows the link.
Do any of the more experienced of you know if there is a way to show a pic without including it as an attachment?

Like this?

You can either do this manually by wrapping your link into IMG
Code:
[IMG]the URL[/IMG]
or go to the advanced mode and simply use the 'insert image' button, see How to upload / link photos - BEGINNERS START HERE - PentaxForums.com - number 2.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. But first off to dinner.

Almost certain this image has already been posted, but there was no PP on this image file, so maybe not. The single pumpkin was just there, no others, out in a picnic area.

Nice. The horizon helps: the trees on the left, & the ridge on the right give some nice secondary points of interest. And the non-obvious fisheye features are at work: huge depth of field, roundish pumpkin stays roundish, and you can get in the top of the tree.

It took several tries to get the framing right = so the top of the tree was within the image. No tripod because a leg would have shown, and hand-held I'm not as steady as I once was, if I ever was steady enough.

Sierra Nevada foothills in Spring

For years I have been envying all you Pentaxians your 10-17. So I delighted to get the Meike 6-11 fisheye zoom for MFT. Here are two at about 9mm for a diagonal 180.
