Sometimes you just want to have fun with a lens.
Back from 2017 with the DA 10-17 and the K3.

Thanks, that DA 10-17 really is an under rated lens.

Thanks, it was my first autofocus Pentax lens. A lot other lenses have come and gone since then, but the 10-17 is here.

International Space Station flyover

My attempt at capturing the ISS as it flew over my house. Lensbaby circular fisheye in a K3iii. You can find out when the station is going to fly over your location by going to Spot The Station | NASA and sign up for texts. NASA will send a text to you for any upcoming flybys

used the lens corrections in Lightroom to defish (and tried to emulate the “cross processing” as well)

Narrow streets

In many cases in old towns the streets are to narrow to be able to photograph the full view of a building. So I'm a bit reluctant to use the fish eye to get the "whole" picture and get these heavy distorted images as a trade off. Maybe I should just walk on by ?

Pictures like this may not meet the usual "standards" for architecture, but I do feel they can be considered an art-form in their own right, if one finds the end result attractive
Getting the lighting angle "right" helps a lot, which may mean revisiting, possibly more than once.
Some judicious cropping ... increase the contrast ... posterization and/or greyscale, can all help to generate an "interesting" image.
Not to all tastes, obviously, and not all images work, (I find a degree of symmetry can help), but certainly don't "just walk on by"!
Enjoy

Thank you, I was lucky enough to have a large bus drive right past me while I had the shutter open. Those are the upper lights.
