Hehe, for awhile this spring we were all thinking we'd been mystically transported to the wet side. Things are normal now in the "Nevergreen" state.

Can people see this image? Flickr changed things around for the worse so I just want to make sure I'm doing things right.

Yes I can see the image, but someone has switched the Rolex for a Citizen.

Here I go with 3... I find the 10-17 a VERY interesting lens for planes... specially for shooting in the cockpit

Cessna 150 LV-CDH (ex N45189)

Emma, a friend's daughter... seems a little worried :P

4 planes? a Piper J3 Cub, a Boeing Stearman (just the wing tip), a Fleet (I believe) at the background, and the Torino, an old Argentinian classic car

San Jost City Hall

Pentax K-x and Pentax DA 10-17mm f/3.4-4.5 fisheye
Picture link to flickr set in San Jose downtown and City Hall

After 15mm limited purchase, I was contemplating in cutting down my wide angle lens with both the 21mm limited and 10-17 fisheye lens as potential down-sizing candidates. I tried to take it for for a spin in last weekend and this Saturday. I have re-found the love in this lens. Yes, the distortion do sometimes get to me but it is the 180 degree views that no others lens can do in a single shot make me fall in love with this fun lens all over again. The distortion and curve add characters to my visit to a fine city hall of San Jose.

Thank you to this thread in reviving my interest in fish-eye.

@Gosslett...

#3 is an incredibly fun photo. It took me a few seconds to realize what you had done. Brilliant! You should cross post it on the Triptych/Diptych thread.

That is a stunning photo. Did you hand hold he 1/3 sec shot with your fisheye? Is that from DA 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 in 10mm wide open in f/3.5. It is so stunning that I have to ask for the details. Thank you for sharing the great view with us.

Thanks!

That is the Pentax 10-17mm fisheye opened up to 10mm. It is actually done on a tripod. That is a 5 exposure HDR shot at -4, -2, 0.0, +2, +4 EVs.
