Yeah, that's basically it. IMO, the colors in this photo don't contribute, so it looks better in BW

The shot looses all the subtle shading nuances in the rings when converted to B&W IMO.

Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda. Not a HDR-shot although I used two exposures to fix most of the overexposure in the sky.
