Here are a few shots with my 10-17. I bought this lens years ago and used it on my k10D, however it has sat idle for the last few years, not sure why really. I decided it was time to bring it back out on the k3. It really is a great lens and I am not sure why I stopped using it but I hope to give some new life in the future.

Those are some great shots, it really is a fun lens to use. I just got my out over the weekend. It has sitting idle for a few years now. I almost thought about selling but I am glad i didn't.

Nice shot Norm, that makes me long for warmer weather here in Michigan so I go out camping again. One of the last film photo shoots I did was in the Finger Lakes area of Upstate NY. Letchworth State Park and Watkins Glen, what beatiful places.

more 10-17mm

I've been trying to get a shot of the small beaver pond in the first photo for a while, just couldn't pull it off even with a DA15. It's a beautiful little place (the dam is on the right side), the DA 10-17mm nailed it !! This lens is way more versatile than I ever would've imagined. The DA15 is in my wife's bag now

A not-too-fishy view with a Zenitar 16:

The DA 10-17mm one of my favorite lenses. I took this photo with the lens touching the sand and less than 1" away. The sharpness always impresses me.

This shot illustrates the reduced fishiness of the Zenitar 16 on aps-c. Of course you can exaggerate the effect by framing higher or lower. In spite of this, I really enjoy the rendering and colors this lens produces.

Circular fisheye?

I love my 10-17, and all these images inspire me to put it to more frequent use. However, I have a few questions.

Is it possible to make circular fisheye images on K-3 or other crop sensor cameras? If so, which lens can make circular images on crop sensor cameras?

Also, I am wondering what the 10-17 will do on full-frame? Has anyone tried it on film cameras?

ADDED NOTE: Well, I mounted the 10-17 on my MZ-S film camera, and I can see that the hood becomes a part of the picture from 10 mm up to almost 17. So . . . I am wondering what will be a logical replacement for the 10-17 on full frame?

I was just given this fisheye adapter for free and I'm still actually holding it in place on my lens as the stepdown adapter hasn't arrived yet. Still, I'm enjoying it.

Looks like you will need to learn how the softness around the edge works aesthetically so that you can build that into your compositions. I can see that it could be good.
