Card key?

Well, that's a translation for me ... one of those electric hard slot card-like flat rectangles that starts the car and open/closes the doors and cost an effing fortune to replace ... the hard copy door key slips inside and it's the thingy with the green tab in this picture. We had two when we got the Espace 4, but lost one ... and the remaining one would no longer lock the doors. So now we have two ... one good and one gimpy.

Fish-eye for full panos.

Full 360° panos with a Pentax DA10-17mm fish-eye will require a minimum of 9 frames (6 around, 1 zenith shot and 2 nadir), or 45 if you bracket each shot for HDR rendition in extreme dynamic range conditions. See those panos here:Richard Novossiltzeff, panoramic photographer - 360Cities

Nice work Richard. It takes a lot of time, patience, and a computer that will handle such large files.

That guy out west with the rocket is a fool. You can easily see from this bridge tower that the Earth is round. This image originally posted three or four years ago.

Dang near fishy 24mm shot, from my Sigma UC 24-50mm zoom, shot at its wide end and aimed upward a bit. Tri-X with orange filter, using Pentax PZ-10. (crossposted in the barn thread)

When using manual fisheye lenses on your K-1 (or whatever SR-equipped camera you have), what focal length do you plug in? 17mm? Or something wider, since it's a fish?

A photo and a question.

First the photo.

Linear Distortion taken with K-1 and K17/FE by Jason Doss, on Flickr

Now the question.

On my Samyang 8mm, I dial in 8 for SR. On the Arsat 30mm, I dial in 30. On other lenses, where there is no in-camera match with exact focal length, I just dial in the nearest available number.
