I'm sure this is a re-post, but I cannot remember which thread. The tree is flourishing on the spot where water collects.

Given that it's at the bottom of two converging slope it's no wonder that the water collects there.

Few shots with Arsat 30mm f 3.5 fisheye

Here are a few shots with a newly acquired, recent copy of the noted Arsat 30mm f 3.5 fisheye lens. This lens comes with Pentacon 6 mount, adapted to Pentax 645Z with readily available P6-P645 adapter. This is a pretty sharp lens, and when used carefully seems to behave more like a super wide standard lens, though it is also easy to frame shots that clearly exhibit the fisheye effect.

That's fairly logical, given the significantly larger Kiev-88/Pentacon 6 negative format of 56mm x 56mm (79,2mm diagonal) vs. the sensor size of 43.8mm x 32.8mm (54.7mm diagonal) in the 645z. Looking at pictures on Flickr, it actually seems to perform rather well all the way to the 6x6 corners. Never seen one for real - maybe I should repair my Pentacon 6 and find one ...

Good points. By the way, this Pentacon lens adapts quite well to the K-mount or to the P645 mount using readily available adapters.

Good use of this outstanding lens without looking too fishy.

I really liked the image as soon as I saw it. Looks as though a glacier did a little coastal carving.

Thanks. And I agree about the F 17-28 being an outstanding lens:
