I own both, but if I recall the manual for the DA 1.4 HD TC advises me NOT to combine them. I'll have to check, though.
My curiosity would be greatly appreciative if you gave it a try! Only if it's safe for the equipment of course.

Looks like channels, just no boats in sight. The Zenitar definitely appears fishy even on the smaller sensor.

Yes, those apartments had an odd arrangement of walkways. With careful positioning, the Zenitar is quite non-fishy (on crop) and can almost double as a regular WA lens.

Old grain elevator complex, south tower, Cuba, Illinois, with DA 10-17mm on K10D.

For comparison, shot from a distance with lens set at 17mm:

Same tower, from close up with lens set at 10mm:

Thanks! The HD-DA 10-17mm is a nice contrasty lens that makes scenes really pop.

I'll second the comment about the colours; I also like how you have the shiny surface of the water dominating the foreground and the not quite fisheye perspective bringing the scenery around it from all directions.

Thanks, much appreciated! Another thing that helped enhance the colors was the setting sun, it was in the middle of the the “golden hour.” The lens was set to 13mm, so it wasn’t zoomed all the way out when composing the shot. There are so many great landscape opportunities at Death Valley, this unexpected pool of water nicely presented itself!
