It is rare that I manage to get a good spider in web photo. The only time the wind is still is when the camera is at home!

No, but there are many here in Australia. In rare cases they can crossbreed and new local variants can come into existence.

In which case a harmless looking individual may in fact have a new cocktail of not so harmless brew! I played around with "harmless" individuals as a teenager until I had a reaction to a baby spider's bites. It may have resulted in a cyst removal 40 years later.

Sometimes stopping down to f/11 and further are the only options you have, without resorting to the tedium of focus stacking.
