well the locale is not as exotic as the Serengeti IMHO but I still love what this lens can do with my K 3

one of these things doesn't quite fit in

[ had to shoot through leaves on that one, you can see how an out of focus leaf affects the shot of the lower breast of the bird ]

First encounter with a Great Blue Heron and he stayed around quite a while until he took off right over my head, big and fast

all birds are " free flying " not part of the " scheduled " attractions at the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center

DFA 28-105 and K1

These two are in Sintra. A beautiful city in Portugal. The second image is from a Moorish Castle and the first is a hillside view from where I was staying.

The Snow Leopard Cub [ born 6/5/17 ]

The Amur Leopard, one of the rarest animals in the world, most in captivity are from cross breeds, not sure if this is a pure bred or not

The White Bengal Tiger, not an albino but from a regressive gene, the Zoo in Omaha was famous for breeding this Tiger

K 3 + HD Pentax-D FA* 70-200mm F2.8 ED DC AW

hand held, natural light, photographed through the window of the indoor enclosures
