The 28-105 is definitely my go-to lens, especially for travel. Only occasionally comes off for the 77 or 31

It would be hard to justify not having this lens in your bag especially for travel. The recent photos are beautiful.

Thank you, it essentially killed my desire for the 24-70. Except for the 24-27mm range, I do not see a real advantage for my kind of shooting. This little lens completely changed my opinion on variable apeture zooms.

I had the 24-70 first and have made good use of it but your statement makes a lot of sense. It does do most of the lifting I want from the 24-70.

My thinking is the 24-70 is more directed at portraits and subject isolation. I rarely shoot portraits and I have lenses for subject isolation like the DA*55. Maybe someday I will get it but for now I'm good.

Here is what the K-1 and 28-105 are capable of.
K-1, Pixel Shift Mode, 58mm, f8, 1/13s. Processed in Raw Therapee and finished in Lightroom. I rarely use Pixel Shift but I should probably try it more. Maybe I will send my K-1 in for the update to get the Dynamic Pixel Shift.
