DFA Zoom Club

Just like the title says this is the place for all of your DFA Zooms. I see specific ones for the 24-70, 70-200, and the 150-450 but nothing for the rest. So post your photos with your DFA Zoom from any camera.

Right now I only have the DFA 28-105 which I am using on my K3 and K50 while saving for a K1.

105mm f5.6 on the K3

I really like that first shot! All of the ice really helps bring the scene to life, and the reflections of sunlight are nice, too.

Thanks Adam, I shot this scene with the 16-85 but the 28-105 won.

A few more with the K50, 28mm f7.1 1/50 ISO 100.

28mm f6.3 1/50 ISO 100

58mm f7.1 1/100 ISO 100, pushing the dynamic range limits of the K50.

K-1 and the DFA 28-105.
28mm, f6.3, 1/40s, ISO 100. I've tried this shot with my K3 and 16-50 and never really could get it right. The K-1 and 28-105 do it without any problem.

I'm not sure where the librarian-cutting-loose thing comes from. I never met any like that, but YMMV.

Canadian model Ali here is shot by the K-1 with D FA 28-105mm 'kit' zoom and at first a softbox, then an octabox on an AlienBees strobe.

Given that the DFA 28-105 is the only one of these lenses I can afford right now, I'll just post images taken with it, so I can hang out with the big spenders...

Canadian you say? I'll start looking for her on the street.

Probably porn, librarians, nurses, soldiers, police officers, fantasies on everyday experiences. Not that I know anyone who goes to the library these days. That makes it even more exotic. An accessible place that will let you in the door for free. How sexy is that? It's not a mater of reality. It's a matter of suspension of belief. The question is, is there a library somewhere in the world where a girl like that would look at me like that? You want to believe, there could be one, and you just haven't found it yet.

People want to restrict photography to reality, it does a really good job of fantasy as well. Reality is great, but it's fantasy that keeps us going. What is happening is usually drab, what could happen is much more appealing.

I think with girls you meet in the library, it's OK to ask them if they'd like to go for a coffee.

I am still trying.
