I had that lens and felt the same as you... 28mm on APS-C isn't my cup of tea, I guess, plus while sharp in the center the borders were not all that good and I had the SW II at the same time, so out goes the Mini...

Edit: Y'know, maybe the issue for me is that while I don't really consider myself a collector, the Adaptalls have a collectible feel and the LImiteds have a collectible feel and Taks are collectible, but the older Sigmas don't give off that vibe, and I sometimes feel I want to have somewhat complete "families" of lenses.

Anyway, here's one with the Tamron 13A @ 24mm...

I don't really have a solid rationale for selling off the SW II AF... very sharp edge-to-edge, good microcontrast, close-focusing, good color and contrast, low CA, susceptible to flare (like most older lenses)... but for some odd reason I never bonded with it. But that was a couple years ago, if I had it today I might feel differently. I currently have the Tamron 01BB 24/2.5 and Tamron 13A 24-48, both of which are manual focus and not quite as good as the Super Wide II, but I get along fine with them and maybe someday I will re-acquire the Sigma.
Excellent shot and light, background (I guess a river ?) gives relief to the plant ...

Yes, and thank you. A natural waterfall on the left. The close-focus of the SW II allows a lot of possibilities in composition.

Agreed too, close focus is probably its major strength,
I add a poor light image (sorry) taken while I was working on a future green grass (garden), a few days ago.

It is late time here so good night everyone !

I entirely understand what you mean about lenses with a 'collectable' feel to them - never start collecting Sigma EX DG lenses, is my bit of advice....

Never, 'cuz I'd "need" the 500/4.5 and that has virtually no chance of happening...

Oh, here's the Tamron 01BB wide open...

It seems good on full frame too, wider, I like your "inside home" photo

The Tamron has good center sharpness even wide open, but the edges are never as sharp as the Sigma SW II, even stopped down to f/11.

Another Super-Wide II photo...

I like this picture, composition, and ambiance (almost "urbex" as we say here)

---------- Post added 04-14-19 at 02:23 PM ----------

Quite blurry but i like it though
it was very windy and decreasing light was focused on the flowers
Sigma 24 SW II 100 ISO / F2.8 / 1/1600

I just acquired my first 24mm prime lens, a Tamron Adaptall2 f/2.5 24mm 01BB. Until now, my only way to get to 24mm before has been via zooms. I will have to do some comparisons of shots from this lens with ones from what I suspect are the better of those zooms. I've only taken a few test shots with the 01BB, but soon I will post some pictures from it.
