Some autumn colors with my Sears 500mm mirror lens:

Despite frost and rain, I have some roses which are persisting.
This one is for Armistice Day.
Trippy donut bokeh. I really like the rendering.

Yeah, my 500mm does give photos a different look. In part because it has a cracked mirror.

My Thanksgiving cactus is blooming now so I've been getting some photos of it with various lenses - some using extension tubes to get close.

And finally, a little extra Thanksgiving color.

yes! it's a strange SLR/rangefinder crossover deal......as it has a mirror for focus but it's a leaf shutter lens

thanks! really do enjoy using the sears gear i have and it performs decently or better than expected!.......did a couple rolls of b&w in a KSX but with a vivitar S1 28-90/2.8 so did not post them here.....rather unlikely a sears camera body thread would garner any attention

Hi, I was hoping to get some I do on this lens I had purchased from someone not long ago. The thing is seriously nice for how old it is, and from what I’ve read so far on this site….it’s pretty rare to find one Undamaged. It’s a Sears MC 500mm 1:8. It’s in very good shape and honestly looks like it was never used. It came with the original carrying case with the padding inside prestige, green felt, with a lens cap, hood that is reversible for storage and a small leather case with three filters all still inside their plastic they originally came with. I’ll post some pictures when I figure out how on this site haha. But my question to you all would be, what freaking mount is this thing?! because I want to use it!

You many need to post a rear on and semi rear on photo of the mount so as to help members identify it for you.

it is likely a T mount lens......did the "silver" collar have 3 set screws when ya removed it? have had a few with a variety of different mounts via the collar but the lens itself was typically t mount
