Sears 60-300 Macro Auto Zoom lens

Does anyone have experience with this lense?
Sears 60-300 Macro Auto Zoom lens
I just bought it on ebay for under $20.00, supposed to be in great shape. Any thing on this lense will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have that lens for my K10D and it works very well on it. I also have one of the 135s. I foolishly sold the 50 with the K1000 body I had before getting the K10D last week.

Welcome to the forum! If these Sears guys snub you, you can be sure that Rikenons of any age are welcome to post on the "Off Brand Club" thread.

Thanks for another great thread! This reminds me that I found a Sears (Ricoh) TLS with 55mm f1.4 for $9.95 at a local antique store. I believe that the lens is the Tomioka, but since it is labeled "Sears" I'm-a-gonna post some pics with it here. (Almost forgot that I had acquired it. Is that a sign of bad LBA?)

Somebody mentioned the 55mm f1.4 upthread, but I don't think anyone has posted pictures taken with it yet. It is supposed to be bokelicious.

Hello Everyone,

Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Gordon "justDIY" McLellan from Northern Michigan. My main hobby is microelectronics but I'm also big on photography, especially in is use for technical macro work documenting my other hobby.

I also seem to be a bit of a Sears lens addict, I'm finding them everywhere.

My first SLR was a Sears TLS with a 55mm 1.4. The old sears had sat in the closet for many a year until I picked up a Kx for myself as a Christmas present. A little fortuitous shopping on ebay and I've grown my Sears collection with the addition of a 28mm f2.8 macro and a 135mm f2.8 telephoto.

The telephoto is a bit long for using indoors and it's rather inclement outdoors right now. However I am enjoying the 28mm macro. I snapped this one earlier this afternoon, my dog actual sat still long enough to get a close up portrait.

I haven't had a chance to sit down and do any technical work with the new macro yet, and as soon as it warms a bit (12F outside right now), I'll be outside with the new telephoto.

regards,
Gordon

Jester - where are the photos?

Ok, little addition to the "Sears" lineup. Got 2xTC from Ryan - thanks man, great shape! So windy outside, tough to shoot...

First set - with EE 50mm f1.4 m42 (wide open)

Sears EE 135mm f2.8 m42 (wide open)

Regards,
D
WOW, great shots! I just got my Sears 200mm f3.5. Can't wait to try it out!

Sears 50mm f/2

Just got my Sears 50mm f/2 earlier today, snapped a few shots on my lunch break, both are wide open.

I noticed it tends to underexpose on my K2000 a little bit, but not too bad.

Can't wait to use this on some subjects that are actually interesting!

Valentine Flowers with Sear's 55 1.4 +raynox

I bought some flowers this weekend (everybody seemed to have flowers -I think I will give them to my wife when I am done photographing). I threw on the raynox close up lens. I may have found my summer macro.
