I've mentioned in other threads that I'm a fan of Mamiya Sekor equipment. I still have my Mamiya C 220 Medium Format (6X6) TLR (Twin Lens Reflex) and the 80 mm normal, 65mm Wide angle and 180mm Super (Mamiya's description) telephoto lens.

I've had the C220 Professional F camera since 1985. I got the 80 normal at the time, then about a year later came across a sale of a used 180mm lens for sale at a local camera shop. I snapped it up and shortly after bought a 65mm wide angle...all Mamiya-Sekor lenses.

The lenses are all leaf shutter. Over the years I've really enjoyed using this camera and the picture quality is excellent, no surprise given the quality of Mamiya and the big negative of the MF.

I originally wanted to buy a Pentax 6X7 with the rosewood handle, 90mm Leaf shutter lens...but it was too much for my budget back then. I then bought the Mamiya and it has been well worth it.

Separate hand held meter readings and looking through a waist level finder..all part of using my 220. I invariably perch it on a robust tripod...easier for me, to compose and focus. The tripod I use is a Leitz Tiltall...which I bought after the weight of a Pentax 6X7 'broke' the cheap, light duty tripod I had before.

I'm a fan of Mamiya...whether it's a Mamiya Press, an RB67, RZ67 or the 645 film cameras.

I have a Mamiya/Sekor 55/1.4. It's a very handsome lens, with a chrome nose. Here are some shots with the lens.

I've still got a 220F and a 645J, not run a film through them for a while though.....my first SLR (in 1973?) was a Mamiya DSX1000 -Spot metering, just like my Big Brother's SP500

Here's a 220F pic from the early 80's

The Mamiya 220/330 TLR's were IMO, very good cameras.

An excellent photograph of the young lady and you can see from the picture why these TLR's were used by many photographic studios and wedding photographers back in the film days. They were rugged and very capable of producing professional level work.

K-1 + Mamiya Sekor C 80mm ƒ/1.9 (adapted with Fotodiox M645-PK-Pro) SOOC

Not much of a pixel peeper but some CA at 1.9, gone at 4. Looks very sharp? I am bad at judging these things.

The adapter fits tight on the plate but there is a tiny bit of noticeable room when rotating / focusing the lens. Doesn't happen often tough.

Lens is heavy, but it's around the same weight as a Sigma 50mm 1.4 DG HSM? I had zero issues handling it.
