Hello everyone,

I got myself this lens for christmas and went out to some local spots to test it. I think this thread deserves a push up so here are some of my results:

The first two pictures are from a heather natural reserve at a freezing cold morning.
This reserve was once a military training area and decomissioned after the cold war ended like many other such places in Germany. To keep this area from forestation there have been herds of old horses and cattle relocated and when you´re lucky sometimes you can see a few caucasian bisons. So this is an interesting place besides landscapes...

Hey, quick question - do you use Live View for focusing with this lens or does it work well with phase-detection AF also? And if anyone uses it with first-gen K-3, is the AF in Viewfinder accurate?

That's part of the flexibility I enjoy. Not possible with the DFA15-30 with one shot.

An abandoned loco sits at Marree in the Northern Flinders ranges, light painted, backdrop of the milkyway core setting - 11 mm. Some vertical correction and 4:3 crop. Bit of a battle with light pollution in the little town - only a couple of street lights, but that was enough!
