It's certainly a fine image! I like how you balanced the backlighting with the correct exposure.
Thank you beery & aslyfox. I like the detail of the leaf veins juxtaposed in front of the open grassy background.

these images of " pictographs " are in the Desert Dome at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha Nebraska

the interesting thing is that they are set on the opposing side of the main exhibit and some people pass them by without seeing them

This picture is not particularly remarkable, except that it shows one of the little-known perks of the FA43 : its ability to create superb starbursts. Now that I sold the DA21, the 43 is the best in my bag for this. Shot at F4, no less!

Yes, there are few lenses as competent as the FA43 for this (SMC 21 and 15, maybe the FA24).

It's surprising that starbursts do not count as a desirable feature for more people.

It's certainly something I look into before purchasing. Did you see the Starburst of my newly acquired DA 12-24 (in that Starburst group), looks like it does quite a nice one from initial testing, and again not having to try too hard to get one out. I need further extensive testing, but it seems very compatible for the K-1 between 18-24mm so I think I will be settling on this lens as my landscape starbursting K-1 solution for awhile. But enough talk of 12-24's.. here's a couple of FA43 shots;

That's a fine idea, the 12-24 isn't named frequently when considering FF options. Sort of like the 11-18, it can work for part of the range.

For the moment the FA20-35 is my wide angle option, it's decent for starbursts (it needs F8) but even though I LIKE it, I can'T say I have fallen ni love with it.

The Penny-Farthing in motion is an amazing use of the 43.
