Congrats! Love all your pics but really dig the 1st one!

I've got both the 50/1.4 and 50/1.7 and I am convinced wide open the 1.7 is a bit sharper.
Thanks! Love your shots as well. Sadly the F50/1.7 has oily aperture blades so its only usuable wide open. I'm starting to like it more than the smc tak 50/1.4 just for the convenience of the k mount.

It might be worth getting cleaned... you can try this Pentax Repairs, Eric - good reputation, just don;t know if he cleans lenses but I do know he works on lenses...

Otherwise wide open, AF and easy metering on this lens is better than most

I'm about to send him my F70-210 for cleaning which has either condensation or fungus around the edges of the front element, otherwise the lens is in great condition and takes great pictures.

I forgot to mention that my copy of this lens had somewhat sticky blades when I bought it, but the exercise of use seems to have freed the blades up. Sounds like yours might be worse off, though...

Ya, my aperture blades are drenched in oil. Every aperture setting but wide open over exposes since the blades can't snap as fast as they should.

Nice shots guys, here is one I took with the F28 at f3.2

A creepy little guy I found behind an old outhouse at a cottage I rented! Love this lens, the trees look painted!
