I have the very cheap 35-80 mm f4.0-5.6 that gives relatively good results :
An astonishing house somewhere in the center of France :

Ha! Interesting shot, I like it.

France is beautiful, too bad there's so many french there...

I've been trying to find a good sample of the F50mm 1.7, but they always have a damaged filter ring or something wrong with them. (*sigh*)

SMC-F 28-80 3.5 - 4.5

I really like the color rendering of this lens. I think its one of the most underrated Pentax lenses. Its small, relatively fast and dirt cheap and built like a tank. Currently dont have a better example to post as I'm at work

Another Classic of the F line is the SMC-F 70-210 (second Picture).

I especially like the build and the ruggedness of the F line and theire really nice color rendering. However the clacking when thei hunt is quite distrcting and brutal

as promised

So,
as I wrote before here are couple of shots with my only F lens. It's F50 f1.7. I obtained it used but in mint condition, for some £30. Could not be happier...
here are two pics of my fiance with this lens. I think this will easily become my favourite portrait lens.
This one I call "pondering"
f2

the second one is on f2.8, with some blown out highlights, but that's entirely my fault. Anyway, I think that in B&W it works quite well...

F 50 f/1.7

.

Nice shots enzo, mimira & axl!

Axl, she's a lovely girl, congrats.

When not out on a shoot with me, my K100DS sits around the house wearing
the F 50 1.7 - I always keep it charged and very handy with a fast-50 for when
I need to grab a quick indoor snapshot and don't want to dig my K20D out of it's
bag.

Here are acouple from today - little guy was on a bit of a tear, crawling up to me,
crawling after cats up & down stairs:

Here's a sanctuary place our smartest cat retreats to when he's in this mood:

Here are a few more taken with my F35-70. To me, this is good lens that doesn't get enough love. It generally stays on my K200 which lives in my purse most of the time. At less than $40 price I paid for it, it's a great deal.

This is what it can do in "macro" mode and paired with the Promaster 1.7x TC.

Takumar F 28-80 does sports !! This lens is identical to the Pentax F 28-80, maybe just different coatings, but I rather like it...

Not really a sports shot, but definitely worth posting

I disagree - that's a fair game, and as such a sport :-)

Yes, my purse is sizable, but the F35-70 isn't that big, though. Sizewise, it's comparable to a smaller prime like the FA50 or DA35. My 43 is supposed to get here today; it may wind up becoming the walkaround lens that stays on the K200.

How's that 43, Heather?

Couple snaps of sunrise before work with K100D + F 50 1.7.

These pumpkins have been shot with almost every lens I own now!

wide open:

I'm referring to the second image. "Wide open" only refers to the first one, right? BTW, the second one looks noticeably different when viewed with a colour managed Firefox. I like the slightly more subdued (wrong?!) unmanaged Seamonkey version better.

Thanks!, yes, first was wide open, 2nd was f/4.

What do you mean by 'unmanaged seamonkey' version? I thought seamonkey
was a plugin platform... Like to hear more about what you've got going there.

Anyway, no color PP on that shot, just some picasa sharpening, those colors are
accurate - it was a very beautiful sunrise sky this morning for a few minutes after
dawn.

It's great. I've been playing around with a little inside since it's dark now, but I'm hoping to get outside with it tomorrow on the K20.
